Solafune Secures Two TERCOM Contracts to Enhance AI-Based Capability Assessment Models for Disaster Response and Logistics Support
— Advancing Decision-Making Amid Increasingly Frequent Natural Disasters, from Damage Assessment to Medical Care and Casualty Evacuation Planning —
Solafune Inc. (Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and CEO: Ren Uechi; hereinafter “Solafune”) has secured two contracts from the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force Training Evaluation, Education, Research and Development Command (TERCOM) to upgrade and enhance capability assessment models for disaster response and logistics support.
Under these projects, Solafune will leverage AI and data analytics to enhance the assessment of disaster response capabilities, supporting damage estimation, the planning of operational routes for units, and the development of response strategies during natural disasters. Solafune will also enhance models that enable more effective planning and assessment of logistics support systems, including medical care and casualty evacuation, across a wide range of contingencies.
Overview of the Two Projects
Solafune has secured the following two projects to upgrade and enhance capability assessment models:
Upgrade and Enhancement of a Capability Assessment Model for Disaster Response
This project will enhance a capability assessment model used to examine damage estimates, operational routes, and response strategies during disasters such as earthquakes and heavy rainfall.Upgrade and Enhancement of a Capability Assessment Model for Logistics Support
This project will enhance a capability assessment model that supports medical care and casualty evacuation for injured and sick personnel, as well as the deployment and operation of medical support systems across a wide range of contingencies.
